Premier presents cheque

The Premier Kristina Keneally presented JewishCare with a cheque for $65,000 to help build the new Care Hub in Saber Street Woollahra.
" The Community Building Partnership Program has been a way to support local solutions and local innovation and that's what JewishCare has always represented" said the Premier.
Paul Pearce Member for Coogee said " the grant would help strengthen what is already a very, very good organisation. JewishCare do an excellent job and the capacity to combine and co-ordinate these activities in this new centre is indicative of the benefits of this sort of community building partnership"
Chief Executive Officer of JewishCare said the new centre ' would raise the profile of JewishCare in the community' while Treasurer Lawrence Myers said it " will enable JewishCare to be the focal point of the community ". Building at the site is expected to commence shortly and the Centre should be ready for use in early 2012.
